Arkiv by Byggfabriken is a new series of fittings with slender handles and knobs that blend tradition with contemporary design, comfortable to grip. Arkiv is designed by Kauppi & Kauppi as a contribution to modern building conservation and a design interpretation of the Byggfabriken brand, founded 26 years ago as a traditional hardware store. Today a leading expert within Swedish building preservation and a “go-to” resource for knowledge and life-style inspiration. The shared love and passion for materials, details, and history laid the foundation for the collaboration and the design work on the new hardware series Arkiv.

The hardware collection includes rear-mounted pull handles in three different lengths and two knobs, with or without base. The collection is performed in two versions: traditional golden brass or white metal nickel-plated brass. The brass is hot-pressed, post-sanded, and finally gently polished by craftsmen. The fittings are exclusively manufactured by Byggfabriken.
