Hedge designed for Skandiform is a room divider for living plants, allowing nature and greenery to be an integral part of indoor landscapes. A lush interior element that combines multiple functions into a mix of plant furniture, room divider and a mobile acoustic solution contributing to a better acoustic environment. The practical planting pots with long-term watering inserts allows individual plants to be easily cared for, refreshed or replaced when needed.
"Our first design project for Skandiform was Allé - a large family of plant dividers inspired by the characteristic willow alleys that define the landscape of south Sweden. The new room divider Hedge also draws inspiration locally from one of our hometowns Malmö, called the city of parks. The idea for Hedge was born during a spring walk in one of the parks, and the impression of the flower lined paths, leafy groves, and open spaces surrounded by tall vertical walls of greenery, later resulted in Hedge - a piece of furniture that brings the pleasant park feeling into our indoor environments." – Kauppi & Kauppi
The mobile green room divider Hedge by Skandiform is designed to create directions and natural zones in all types of environments. A flexible piece of furniture that can be arranged and repeated in creative formations. The lower part of the furniture contains a sound absorbing structure, while the flourishing plants on top of the furniture provide a pleasant, sound diffusing indoor garden atmosphere.
